Job summary
Ron Finemore Transport in Wodonga, Victoria, is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our maintenance team. This permanent, full-time role offers an attractive hourly rate, flexi time, monthly safety incentives, superannuation and overtime, with weekly pay.
You will work on a modern heavy vehicle fleet, interpret plans, fabricate and repair metal components, mentor apprentices, and uphold safety standards in a supportive workshop environment. Relocation support available.
Qualifications
- Certificate 3, Trade certificate/qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry.
- Experience maintaining heavy trailer equipment.
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Current HC/HR driver's license an advantage.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain welding equipment in a heavy vehicle workshop.
- Interpret plans and drawings to determine welding requirements.
- Fabricate and repair metal components and structures.
- Produce clear digital repair order reports with work prioritisation.
- Mentor apprentices and support teammates.
- Maintain safe work practices and high workmanship standards.
