Job summary

Ron Finemore Transport is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic for our Wagga Wagga Site Maintenance Facility in NSW. You will join a professional maintenance team responsible for servicing and maintaining a modern fleet of European truck and heavy trailer equipment.

We offer Mon-Fri shifts with weekend overtime, relocation support or sign-on bonus for the right applicant, uniform provided, and ongoing training with upskilling opportunities in a safety-focused workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification or equivalent.
• Own tools and the ability to work with diagnostic software.
• Experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and safety-focused work.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, service and inspections on engines, transmissions, brakes, diffs, electrical and pneumatic systems on truck and trailer equipment.
• Diagnostic analysis using supplied diagnostic software and computer equipment.
• Produce clear and concise digital repair order reports detailing all work carried out and prioritised recommendations.
• Provide support and guidance to Apprentice technicians.
• On-call roster will be required on a rotating basis.

This is a permanent full-time position based at our Wagga Wagga Site Maintenance Facility in NSW

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic for Ron Finemore Transport you will be part of a professional maintenance team responsible for servicing and maintaining our modern fleet of European truck and heavy trailer equipment.

Relocation Support or a sign on bonus will be provided for the right applicant. (T&Cs Apply)

Your responsibilities:

• Repairs, service and inspections on engines, transmissions, brakes, diffs electrical and pneumatic systems on truck and trailer equipment
• Diagnostic analysis using supplied diagnostic software and computer equipment.
• Produce clear and concise digital repair order reports detailing all work carried out and recommendations in a prioritised order.
• Provide support and guidance to Apprentice technicians.
• Please note that participation in an on-call roster will be required on a rotating basis.

About You

You are a motivated and reliable mechanic who enjoys working in a fast paced team environment and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship

• Mechanical trade certificate/qualification or equivalent.
• Own tools
• Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry.
• Experience with American or European drivelines and advantage.
• Trailer servicing and maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Driver’s license required (Heavy Vehicle licence advantageous)
• Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards.
• Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety
