Job summary

Ron Finemore Transport in Wagga Wagga is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to maintain and repair our modern heavy vehicle fleet and trailer equipment. You will join a professional maintenance team in a safety-focused workshop environment and contribute to quality workmanship.

The role is permanent, on-site, with a competitive hourly rate, flexi time, and eligibility for monthly safety incentives and overtime. Relocation support or sign-on bonus is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3, Trade certificate/qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry.
• Experience maintaining heavy trailer equipment.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a supportive team.
• Current HC/HR driver’s license an advantage.
• Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards.
• High levels of motivation, dependable with a can-do, positive attitude.
• Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain welding equipment.
• Understand plans and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
• Fabricating and repairing metal components and structures.
• Produce clear and concise digital repair order reports, detailing all work carried out and recommendations in a prioritised order.
• Provide support and mentor apprentice technicians.
• Maintain safe work practices and high quality workmanship.

As a welder /Fabricator with Ron Finemore Transport you will join our professional fleet and maintenance team responsible for maintaining and repairing our modern heavy vehicle fleet and trailer equipment.
