Job summary

Swan Materials is seeking a reliable Weighbridge Operator to be the primary contact for drivers and customers passing through The Lakes Quarry. This on-site role involves weighing loads, processing documents, and supporting quarry administration within a busy, safety‑conscious environment.

The position requires good organisation, attention to detail and strong communication skills. A rotating shift pattern and some Saturdays are included to keep operations flowing smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in a quarry or logistics environment is preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including early starts.
• Good communication with drivers, customers and team.
• Attention to detail in busy environments.
• Understanding of safety regulations and chain of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Operate weighbridge and log every truck in and out.
• Verify dockets, orders and transport paperwork.
• Print weighbridge tickets and receipts.
• Sign in visitors and issue badges and PPE.
• Answer driver and customer questions or escalate issues.
• Coordinate with production, dispatch and drivers to keep site moving.
• Flag any discrepancies in records and maintain audit-ready files.
• Set up new accounts and process creditor invoices.
• Report hazards and participate in safety meetings.
