Shellharbour City Council is seeking a customer-focused library professional for weekend duties at City Library. The role coordinates weekend operations, leading a weekend team to support customers with resources, technology and programs, creating welcoming library experiences for our community.

The part-time, permanent position is 15 hours per week with rosters including Saturday, Sunday and Monday shifts, offering weekend and public holiday penalty rates.

Qualifications

• Library Diploma or working towards one.
• Recent experience in a public library environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong digital literacy and comfort helping customers with technology.
• Ability to coordinate priorities and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekend operations across City Library and assist customers with library resources, technology and programs.
• Lead the weekend team to deliver welcoming, engaging experiences for the community.
• Provide support on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays as rostered.
