Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' practical experience in construction waterproofing.
• Strong understanding of Class 2 buildings and multi-residential construction.
• Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
• Ability to identify poor workmanship and non-compliant waterproofing works.
• Current White Card and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect waterproofing works across Class 2 and commercial buildings.
• Conduct desktop reviews of waterproofing design for Class 2 developments prior to construction.
• Assess compliance against drawings, specs, manufacturer requirements, NCC and standards.
• Prepare inspection notes, photos, and reports with rectification recommendations.
• Liaise with builders, contractors and consultants and attend site meetings for technical input.

ROLE

We're looking for an experienced Waterproofing Inspector / Consultant to inspect waterproofing works and carry out pre-construction design reviews across Class 2 residential and commercial developments, identifying water ingress issues and preparing suitable remediation scopes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

• Inspect waterproofing works across Class 2 and commercial buildings, including bathrooms, balconies, rooftops, podiums and basements
• Conduct desktop reviews of waterproofing design for Class 2 developments prior to construction
• Assess compliance against drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, Australian Standards and the NCC
• Prepare clear inspection notes, photographic records and reports, with practical recommendations for rectification
• Liaise with builders, contractors and consultants, and attend site meetings to provide technical input
