About the Role
Work alongside established remedial building engineers delivering practical, real-world solutions. You will run defect investigations, develop remediation strategies and oversee project delivery for a variety of remedial building projects, including Class 2 structures. This role combines technical depth, with hands-on project management, to build client relationships and provide engineering solutions to our clients.
You will be provided with a great mix of project management, site inspections and remediation design opportunities, with direct technical support from Senior building consultants and engineers to grow your career in remedial building and engineering.
Core responsibilities:
The role would require you to work on Remedial Building projects with the following tasks:
Conduct site inspections and building investigations
Develop scope of work documentation, specifications and remediation strategies
Produce clear, concise reports and client documentation
Assess contractor tender submissions and prepare technical recommendation letters
Manage the delivery of projects: schedules, contractors, QA, compliance
Oversee remedial work at key hold points, process variations and provide technical solutions
Assist in the development of DBP compliant waterproofing and structural designs
Manage the project including preparation of invoices to clients and budget monitoring using our project management software
Work with our team of experienced consultants and help shape best practices
Comply with all company policies and procedures
About You
Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing, or recognised industry equivalent, with 2-3+ years’ experience in similar project management and building diagnostic work
Diploma of Building and Construction (Building), or recognised industry equivalent, with 2-3+ years’ experience in similar project management and building diagnostic work
Sound knowledge of design methods of slabs, footings and framing, retaining walls, waterproofing, stormwater drainage, concrete repair, steel and timber structures, masonry repairs and façade remediation
Experience with site inspections and contractor coordination
Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards within a consultancy environment
Excellent level of English written and verbal communication skills
Demonstratedability to take the lead on projects, deliver technical solutions and mentor other staffas required
OH&S Induction Training for Construction Work (White Card)
New South Wales driver's licence with a reliable, fully insured motor vehicle
Experience within the strata industry would be advantageous
Confidence partnering with senior technical staff on engineering and project management/supervision
Self-motivation and enthusiasm to work in a growing industry
