Job summary

CSG Talent is seeking an experienced Waterproofing Inspector / Consultant in Sydney to inspect waterproofing works and carry out pre-construction design reviews for Class 2 residential and commercial developments. You will identify water ingress issues and prepare remediation scopes, while maintaining autonomy in managing your inspection workload.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in construction waterproofing.
• Strong understanding of Class 2 buildings and multi-residential construction.
• Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
• Ability to identify poor workmanship and non-compliant waterproofing works.

Responsibilities

• Inspect waterproofing works across Class 2 and commercial buildings, including bathrooms, balconies, rooftops, podiums and basements.
• Conduct desktop reviews of waterproofing design for Class 2 developments prior to construction.
• Assess compliance against drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, Australian Standards and the NCC.
• Prepare clear inspection notes, photographic records and reports, with practical recommendations for rectification.
• Liaise with builders, contractors and consultants, and attend site meetings to provide technical input.
