Job summary

CSG Talent is seeking an experienced Waterproofing Inspector / Consultant in Sydney to inspect waterproofing works and carry out pre-construction design reviews for Class 2 residential and commercial developments. You will identify water ingress issues and prepare remediation scopes, while maintaining autonomy in managing your inspection workload.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of practical experience in construction waterproofing.
Strong understanding of Class 2 buildings and multi-residential construction.
Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
Ability to identify poor workmanship and non-compliant waterproofing works.

Responsibilities

Inspect waterproofing works across Class 2 and commercial buildings, including bathrooms, balconies, rooftops, podiums and basements.
Conduct desktop reviews of waterproofing design for Class 2 developments prior to construction.
Assess compliance against drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, Australian Standards and the NCC.
Prepare clear inspection notes, photographic records and reports, with practical recommendations for rectification.
Liaise with builders, contractors and consultants, and attend site meetings to provide technical input.
