Job summary

Snowy Monaro Regional Council in NSW is seeking a Coordinator Water and Wastewater Operations to oversee reactive, planned and emergency works across the region, ensuring resources are used efficiently to service the community.

You will work with technical specialists, provide direction to regional supervisors, and lead a team to deliver safe, compliant and reliable water and wastewater services, supported by strong asset management and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Qualified in water and wastewater operations with practical experience
• Knowledge of maintenance schedules and SOPs with safety focus
• Experience in asset management principles for water/wastewater
• Proven track record leading teams to meet KPIs and coaching staff
• Willingness to obtain required certificates (confined space, first aid)

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate activities on water and wastewater treatment plants and networks through area supervisors
• Delegate maintenance tasks and source vendors and service providers
• Develop, maintain and implement SOPs, maintenance plans and incident management
• Ensure safety, quality and environmental standards are met
• Oversee inventory, purchasing of equipment with Compliance Officer Water Wastewater
• Plan and allocate staff, contractors, and resources for works programs and emergencies
