Job summary

Snowy Monaro Regional Council is seeking a hands-on civil maintenance worker to support water and wastewater infrastructure. You will ensure safe practices, follow council standards, and complete tasks across the water and wastewater services.

Reporting to the Team Leader or Supervisor, you will undertake work on assets, liaise for compliance, and contribute to reliable service delivery for the Council area.

Qualifications

• Physically fit to complete all aspects of the position.
• MR (Medium Rigid) licence required or willing to obtain within 12 months.
• Operate a Drain Cleaning System/ High pressure jetting Certificate or willing to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe workplace by complying with legislative and organisational requirements and being accountable for own decisions and actions.
• Contribute to the maintenance of civil works associated with water supply and wastewater drainage systems within the Council area.
• Liaise with the Team Leader and/or Supervisor to ensure civil works are undertaken to meet Council standards.
• Undertake work on relevant asset installations for the Water and Wastewater Services department.
