Job summary

Snowy Monaro Regional Council is seeking a Coordinator Water and Wastewater Operations to lead reactive and planned works across the region, maximizing resources to serve the community. In this role you will liaise with technical experts, guide area supervisors, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance while delivering efficient operations and maintenance across water and wastewater networks.

Qualifications

• Technical qualifications in water and wastewater operations with practical site experience.
• Experience in development and implementation of maintenance schedules and SOPs with focus on safety.
• Knowledge of asset management for water/wastewater equipment.
• Current NSW Class C Driver licence.
• Ability to respond to emergency call-outs and weekends.
• Experience leading teams to meet key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate activities at Water & Wastewater plants and networks across the area.
• Delegate maintenance tasks to team and coordinate vendors and service providers.
• Develop, maintain and implement SOPs, maintenance plans, and incident/emergency plans.
• Ensure safety, quality and environmental standards are consistently met.
• Oversee inventories and assist with procurement of equipment and materials.
• Maintain maintenance and servicing logs for non-mechanical/non-electrical work.
• Support supervisors with management of operational and maintenance staff.
• Plan and allocate staff, contractors, plant and resources per works program and emergencies.
• Be available for emergency call-outs and weekend work as required.
• Ensure compliance with WHS and legislative requirements.
