Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Water Treatment Engineering Specialist in Australia to provide technical leadership for leachate, wastewater and industrial water treatment projects. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define the engineering approach and deliver safe, compliant solutions.

The role involves developing concept designs, writing specifications, and coordinating tender processes with consultants and contractors, while ensuring alignment with project goals and standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Extensive demonstrated experience in technical management of industrial processes.
• Experience in developing concept designs and associated technical documentation for water treatment processes.
• Experience in managing consultants for detailed designs aligned with regulatory standards.
• Ability to prepare scope of works and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and partner with stakeholders on water treatment projects.
• Develop concept designs and basic documentation for treatment processes.
• Write technical specifications and tender scoping documents for water treatment solutions.
• Evaluate tender responses from a technical perspective and select appropriate contractors.
• Ensure solutions comply with design basis and regulatory standards.
