Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, delivery and commissioning of mechanical systems for the Wyaralong project in Australia. You will prepare drawings, specifications, and calculations, ensuring alignment with Australian Standards and project requirements, while coordinating with process, civil, structural and electrical disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering on water or infrastructure projects.
• Working knowledge of Australian Standards and industry codes.
• Experience across design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Engineers Australia membership or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, calculations and specifications.
• Provide input into selection and sizing of pumps, piping and valves.
• Coordinate mechanical scope with process, civil and electrical disciplines.
• Support procurement through technical specifications and vendor review.
• Respond to RFIs and resolve site-based technical issues.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning activities.
