Job summary

ISS Facility Services seeks experienced industrial plumbers or boilermakers for maintenance and preventative water pipeline work based in Blackwater. You will work 10-hour days on a 9-day fortnight roster, with a focus on safety, quality, and reliability in a remote environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring pipelines, inspecting for leaks and damage, performing routine preventative maintenance, operating valves and pumps, and keeping precise records. On-call once per month.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Plumbing and Gas Fitting OR Boilermaker trade (Queensland)
• Experience with Pipeline maintenance and facilities maintenance environments
• Current QLD Coal Board Medical and unrestricted QLD Driver’s Licence
• Construction White Card issued after 2015
• Police Clearance < 12 months

Job description

The Opportunity:

We’re seeking experienced industrial plumbers or boilermakers with a background in Maintenance and Preventative Water Pipeline works. You will bring a can-do attitude, teamwork, flexibility, and a strong commitment to safety and quality; Based in Blackwater, you will be working 10 hour days on a 9-day fortnight roster.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining our clients' assets, contributing to the smooth running of our operations. Working 10-hour days in a demanding, remote environment - means solid fitness and resilience is essential!

About the role:

• Monitor and maintain pipelines

• Inspect for leaks, corrosion, or damage along the pipeline route, pumps and motors.

What we are looking for:

• Current Trade Qualification in Plumbing and Gas Fitting OR Current Boiler Maker Trade (Queensland Trade Recognised)
• Demonstrated experience with Pipeline Maintenance
• Previous experience working in a facilities maintenance environment involving large volumes of assets and programmed servicing schedules.
• Current QLD Coal Board Medical

Essential Criteria:

• Must be located in Blackwater and able to work a 9 day fortnight, Mon-Fri week 1 and Mon-Thu week 2
• Must have an unrestricted QLD Driver’s Licence
• Must have a Construction White Card (CPCCOHS1001A - Work safely in the construction industry or CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) – card must be issued after 2015 to be accepted
• Must have a Police Clearance less than 12 months old
