Job summary

Interflow in Melbourne's South East is seeking permanent full-time field crew members to support water infrastructure projects. You will operate state-of-the-art plant and equipment for pipeline renewal, perform site preparation, and provide onsite support across diverse tasks.

The role includes overtime, variety in duties, and a strong safety focus. A valid MR/HR licence, ability to work across sites, and a pre-employment medical are required; White card and additional licences are highly

Qualifications

• Valid MR or HR licence and White card (OHS construction induction)
• Experience excavating around live assets or in similar utilities environments
• Telehandler ticket (Gold card) is desirable
• Ability to work across South East Melbourne sites
• Good work ethic and safety-focused attitude

Responsibilities

• Operate plant and equipment for pipeline renewal, including cleaning, lining, and flow management
• General labouring and site preparation, providing onsite support
• Assist civils tasks including manhole/pit alterations and rehabilitation
• Operate excavators from 2.5 to 8 tonnes and work around water, gas or electrical assets
• Maintain safety and teamwork, comply with site rules and training requirements

The Opportunity

Role

Due to ongoing business growth, we have an opportunity for new team members to join our field crews. This position is permanent full-time offering a rewarding remuneration package including regular overtime. Given our vast range of services, there is plenty of variety with the roles and responsibility which include (but not limited to):

• Operating state-of-the-art Plant & Equipment in pipeline renewal (cleaning and assessments, pipe lining, junction cut & seal and flow management)
• General labouring including site preparation and onsite support
• Associate civils including Manhole/Pit alteration with rehabilitation
• Operation of excavators ranging from 2.5 to 8 tonne
• Excavating around water, gas or electrical assets

Your Background May Be From One Of The Following

• Pipe maintenance experience such as reactive water main maintenance, plumbing, gas main and water main renewals
• NBN or electrical industries where you have excavated around live assets
• Or you might want to break into the industry, if so we'd like to hear from you!

Key Selection Criteria

• Valid MR or HR licence
• Experience excavating around live assets
• OHS Construction Induction Card (White card)
• Telehandler ticket (Gold card)
• Have the ability to work on sites across South East Melbourne
• Good work ethic and positive work attitude with the ability to work in a team
• A strong focus on safety
• Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights licences are desirable but not essential

To make sure that you're fully fit to join our team you will be subject to a pre-employment medical (including a drug & alcohol test) and a criminal history check. Please be aware that these roles may require you to enter confined spaces, successful candidates will be provided with certified confined spaces training if required.
