Job summary

Redland City Council is recruiting for a Water Industry Worker – Team Leader to guide a field crew in delivering essential water and wastewater infrastructure across Redland City. The role blends hands-on leadership with technical oversight, including maintenance, repairs, and non-routine construction, while mentoring staff.

The successful candidate will have proven water industry experience; a Certificate IV is valued and leadership qualifications may be pursued on the job.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the water industry.
• Experience leading field crews and delivering maintenance/construction in water infrastructure.
• Strong WHS knowledge and safety leadership demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew to deliver safe, timely field maintenance and construction outcomes.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Ensure works comply with water industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and on‑site problem solving.
• Maintain accurate records and engage with customers professionally.
