Job summary

Waste Services Group (WSG) is seeking a driven Business Development Manager in Melbourne to accelerate profitable new business and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to onboarding.

You will build a robust pipeline, price proposals, conduct site assessments, and collaborate with internal teams to set up new accounts for long-term success in a growing national business backed by a global investment firm.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' experience in business development or sales in waste/related industry.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs.
• Ability to prospect, qualify, and close opportunities independently.
• Strong CRM discipline and accurate forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth by building a strong pipeline and converting leads.
• Own end-to-end sales process from first contact to handover.
• Price and structure proposals that align with guidelines and profitability.
• Conduct site assessments to understand requirements and risks.
• Maintain clear CRM records, forecasts and customer documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to set up new accounts for success from day one.
