Job summary

Jumbo is a vertically integrated waste and recycling operator in South East Queensland, seeking a dedicated Business Development & Account Manager. You’ll own the pipeline, build relationships with local councils, civil contractors and private builders, and shape how we go to market across SEQ.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll win new business, manage tenders, EOIs and contracts, and align sales with operations to deliver on time. A strong network helps you win.

Qualifications

• B2B business development in waste/construction materials or closely related industry.
• Track record of winning new business and hitting revenue targets with measurable figures.
• Experience preparing and submitting tenders, EOIs or formal proposals.
• Strong commercial judgement to build quotes, manage margins and negotiate.
• Credibility with councils, procurement officers and site foremen.
• Current Queensland driver licence and right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Own the sales pipeline end-to-end: prospect, quote, negotiate and close.
• Identify, prepare and submit tenders, EOIs and prequalification applications to local government.
• Sell skip bin, hook bin and construction waste disposal services to commercial customers.
• Sell recycled product range to civil contractors, councils, developers and landscapers.
• Cross-sell with other offerings to drive integrated waste and product sales.
• Secure inbound concrete and construction and demolition material streams.
• Build relationships with procurement officers, engineers, estimators and project managers.
• Report pipeline, forecast and performance to the Managing Director.
