Job summary

Shire of Glenelg is seeking a practical, people-focused supervisor to coordinate day-to-day operations across multiple waste management sites. You will supervise Transfer Station Operators and ensure waste, recycling, transfer station and landfill services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
• We are looking for a supportive, organised and approachable leader who can communicate clearly, solve problems and build a positive team environment.
• Experience in waste management, administration, community service delivery or a similar operational environment would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations across multiple work sites and supervise Transfer Station Operators to deliver safe, efficient waste, recycling, transfer station and landfill services.
• Coordinate rosters, leave, training, timesheets, team meetings and day-to-day priorities while supporting staff performance and development.
• Work closely with contractors, Council staff, customers and community to maintain reliable service delivery and respond to operational issues as they arise.
