Job summary

Glenelg Shire Council is seeking a Team Leader – Resource Management to lead and support our frontline team across multiple waste and resource management facilities. The role involves coordinating rosters, training, and day-to-day priorities while ensuring safe, efficient delivery of services.

You will manage staff performance and development, work with contractors and customers, and foster a positive team environment across sites. Experience in waste management is highly regarded.

About the Opportunity

Glenelg Shire Council is looking for a Team Leader – Resource Management to lead and support our frontline team across multiple waste and resource management facilities.

This is a practical, people-focused role where you will coordinate day-to-day operations across multiple work sites, supervise Transfer Station Operators and ensure waste, recycling, transfer station and landfill services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will be responsible for coordinating rosters, leave, training, timesheets, team meetings and day-to-day priorities, while supporting staff performance and development. You will also work closely with contractors, Council staff, customers and community to maintain reliable service delivery and respond to operational issues as they arise.

This is a varied leadership role suited to someone who enjoys supporting people, organising multiple priorities and working across different locations.

We are looking for a supportive, organised and approachable leader who can communicate clearly, solve problems and build a positive team environment.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:
