Job summary

Glenelg Shire Council is seeking a Team Leader – Resource Management to lead and support our frontline team across multiple waste and resource management facilities. The role involves coordinating rosters, training, and day-to-day priorities while ensuring safe, efficient delivery of services.

You will manage staff performance and development, work with contractors and customers, and foster a positive team environment across sites. Experience in waste management is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate work across multiple sites.
• A practical and flexible approach to problem solving.
• The ability to work effectively with staff, contractors, customers and other stakeholders.
• Experience in waste management, administration, community service delivery or a similar operational environment would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline team across multiple waste and resource management facilities.
• Coordinate rosters, leave, training, timesheets, and team meetings.
• Direct day-to-day priorities and respond to operational issues as they arise.
• Support staff performance and development and liaise with contractors and customers.
