Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and/or administration roles.
• Medical reception experience desirable.
• Ability to learn and develop professionally.
• Strong communication with patients, visitors and staff.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Proficient with computer systems or willing to learn.
• Calm, empathetic approach with unwell or anxious patients.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide a warm, professional welcome.
• Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, verify insurance, and update details.
• Schedule and confirm appointments in the practice system.
• Answer and direct telephone enquiries professionally.
• Process payments and handle cash accurately.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per privacy laws and policies.
• Keep reception area clean and organised.
• Assist with filing, data entry and document management.
• Prepare patient notes and rooms for consultations.
• Answer patient questions about services, fees and records.
