Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a hands-on warehouse leader to shape a growing operation in Melbourne. You will lead from the front, embedding discipline, and partnering with operations leaders to improve inventory performance while coaching a small team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in warehouse management.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in fast-paced environments.

Job description

This isn't a role where you'll inherit a mature operation and simply maintain it. This is an opportunity to help shape what great looks like and ideal for someone who enjoys building capability, improving systems and creating structure rather than simply maintaining the status quo.

No two days will be the same (& that's what makes this role so unique and exciting) –

One day you might be on the warehouse floor conducting cycle counts, reviewing stock variances and coaching team members and the next you could be partnering with Supply Chain, Procurement and Operations leaders to improve inventory performance, reviewing data, planning stock movements or supporting a satellite warehouse location.

Key Responsibilities will be but not limited to:

• Leading and developing a small warehouse team

• Supporting warehouse transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring safety, compliance and operational excellence
• Understand current inventory performance, stock holdings and warehouse processes and look for areas of improvement
• Run day-to-day warehouse operations and leadership responsibilities

About You:

You are a hands-on warehouse leader who leads from the front and isn’t afraid to get your hands dirty but is also confident being involved in leadership meetings and process improvement.

You will have:

• 5+ years' experience in warehouse management
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in fast-paced environments
• Strong inventory management and stock control capability
• Experience implementing or improving warehouse systems and processes
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• The ability to balance operational delivery with continuous improvement
• Experience within utilities, construction, trade services, infrastructure or field service environments is highly regarded, however not required.
