Job summary

SS Signs is seeking a reliable Warehouse & Freight Coordinator to manage warehouse operations and coordinate freight across the business in Queensland. The role focuses on inbound materials, outbound freight and deliveries while supporting production and installation teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation and organisation of the warehouse.
• Receive, check and store incoming goods and materials.
• Coordinate outgoing freight, courier bookings and deliveries.
• Pack and prepare finished signage and materials for dispatch.
• Arrange freight for local, interstate and regional deliveries.
• Ensure goods are correctly labelled, documented and dispatched on time.
• Liaise with freight companies, suppliers and internal departments.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control.
• Keep the warehouse clean, safe and well organised.
• Assist production and installation teams with material movements and job requirements.
• Track deliveries and follow up on delays, missing items or freight issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and freight processes.

About the Role

Working within our signage manufacturing business, you will be responsible for managing our warehouse and coordinating freight to ensure materials, products and equipment move efficiently through the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day‑to‑day operation and organisation of the warehouse.

About You

We are looking for someone who is dependable, practical and takes ownership of their responsibilities.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch or freight coordination role.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Experience booking freight and dealing with transport companies.

• Good computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.

• A practical, hands‑on approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work with different teams.

• A current driver's licence.

• A forklift licence would be an advantage.

• The ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion.

Experience in manufacturing, signage, printing, construction supplies or a similar industry would be beneficial, but is not essential for the right person.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

• Friday: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm

Full‑time, Monday to Friday.
