Job summary

Preferred Turf Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator to run the warehouse and logistics, including forklift operations, receiving, dispatch, stock accuracy, and yard maintenance. You will report to the Operations Manager and collaborate daily with the projects team.

You will dispatch orders within 24 hours, organise freight, receipting stock, pick/prepare orders, maintain stock accuracy, ensure safety, and train new staff.

Qualifications

• Hands-on warehouse and logistics experience across receiving, picking, and dispatch.
• Experience with an inventory or ERP system; Ostendo is an advantage.
• Experience booking freight through carrier portals.
• Handling rolled goods such as grass or carpet is desirable, especially using forklift and carpet prong.
• Ownership of the function: you notice inefficiencies and fix them, and you are as comfortable doing the work as using the systems behind it.
• A driven, energetic approach and the ability to keep pace in a fast-paced business, with a strong focus on outstanding customer service.

Job description

You will run the warehouse and its logistics: forklift driving, receiving and dispatch, stock accuracy, container unloads, freight bookings, and the upkeep of the yard, showroom, and equipment. You will report to the Operations Manager and work daily with the projects team.

Key responsibilities

Dispatch supply-only orders within 24 hours and organise freight for projects: quotes, carriers, and timing through existing portals

Receive deliveries and unload containers, receipting stock into the system within 24 hours

Pick and prepare orders, and attend to customer pick-ups

Keep stock accurate: locations, clearance stock, samples, and stocktakes within 1% of system

Keep the site safe: daily safety walkthroughs, WHS compliance, and site documentation for installers

Maintain the warehouse, yard, showroom, and equipment, and train new team members on warehouse processes

About you
