Job summary

VERVE Fitness on the Gold Coast is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to manage inbound/outbound stock, pick and pack orders, and maintain accurate inventory. You will operate warehouse equipment, load freight, prepare consignments, and keep the workspace clean and safe.

The role suits reliable, punctual candidates who can work autonomously or as part of a team. Casual hours with a genuine pathway to permanent full-time for the right person.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations such as receiving, picking and packing, and loading/unloading freight.
• Ability to lift heavy items and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Forklift licence (LF) would be highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Unloading inbound trucks and containers, checking deliveries against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies or damage
• Receiving stock into the system and storing it in correct locations
• Picking customer orders accurately using warehouse management system and handheld scanners
• Packing orders to VERVE standards with protective packaging for heavy equipment
• Loading outbound freight, palletising, strapping and wrapping for safe transport
• Preparing consignments and labels for couriers and freight carriers
• Assisting with stocktakes and cycle counts
• Maintaining clean, safe and organised pick faces, packing benches and loading areas
• Supporting the wider warehouse team during peak periods and with general upkeep

We are pleased to offer an employment opportunity for the position of Warehouse Assistant at VERVE Fitness, Australia's leading fitness supply company. This role is at the centre of our daily operations, moving product from inbound trucks through to accurate, well-packed orders leaving for customers across Australia.

Position Overview

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the hands‑on flow of stock through our warehouse: receiving and unloading deliveries, putting stock away, picking and packing customer orders, and loading outbound freight. The ideal candidate is accurate under pressure, physically capable of handling heavy fitness equipment, comfortable operating warehouse equipment, and takes pride in getting orders out complete, undamaged and on time. Keeping the workspace clean and safe is part of the job, not the whole job.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Unloading inbound trucks and containers, checking deliveries against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies or damage
• Receiving stock into the system and putting it away in the correct locations
• Picking customer orders accurately using our warehouse management system and handheld scanners
• Packing orders to VERVE standards, including protective packaging for heavy and bulky fitness equipment
• Loading outbound freight, including palletising, strapping and wrapping for safe transport
• Preparing consignments and labels for couriers and freight carriers
• Assisting with stocktakes and cycle counts
• Keeping pick faces, packing benches and loading areas clean, safe and organised
• Supporting the wider warehouse team during peak periods and with general upkeep when required

Preferred Candidate

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both as part of a team and autonomously
• Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting and handling of heavy items
• Accurate with good attention to detail; picking and packing errors cost us customers
• A current forklift licence (LF) would be highly regarded but is not essential
• Previous warehouse, pick and pack or freight experience an advantage

Position Type: Casual, with a genuine pathway to a permanent full-time position for the right candidate

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

Start Date: Immediately

Wage/Salary: General Retail Industry Award (MA000004) age and experience will dictate starting wage
