Job summary

Navia's Melbourne Distribution Centre is seeking a hands-on Warehouse 2IC to lead on-floor operations, supervise team leaders, pickers/packers and forklift operators, and deputise for the Warehouse Manager when needed.

The role focuses on rostering, coaching, and driving accuracy in order fulfilment, inventory, and dispatch while championing safety and continuous improvement on a diverse shift schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' warehouse/distribution experience, with 1-2 years supervising a team.
• Current forklift (LF) licence; high-reach/order-picker endorsed preferred.
• Proficient with WMS/ERP systems (SAP, Pronto, Manhattan) and Excel.
• Strong WHS knowledge and a safety-first mindset.
• Able to lead a diverse shift-based team under pressure to meet deadlines.

Job description

Navia is a fast-growing, fully integrated freight and logistics company spanning sea, air, customs and 3PL and we're looking for a hands-on Warehouse 2IC to help drive our Melbourne Distribution Centre.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you'll step up as the senior operational leader on the floor - supervising team leaders, pickers/packers and forklift operators, keeping receiving, picking, packing and dispatch running smoothly, and deputising for the Warehouse Manager when they're away.

What you'll bring:

• 3+ years' warehouse/distribution experience, with 1-2 years supervising a team
• Current forklift (LF) licence high-reach/order-picker highly regarded
• Solid WMS/ERP exposure (SAP, Pronto, Manhattan or similar) plus confident Excel skills
• Strong WHS knowledge and a genuine safety-first mindset
• The ability to lead a diverse shift-based team, prioritise under pressure and hit tight deadlines
• Physically capable of lifting and moving stock safely, in line with manual handling procedures and workplace safety requirements.

What you'll be doing:

Hours:

Shifts fall between 7am-6pm Mon-Fri, with occasional weekend work depending on contracts coming through.
