Job summary

National Workforce is seeking a highly motivated Warehouse 2IC to lead a fast-paced team on the Central Coast. You will drive operational excellence, optimise processes, and ensure accurate inventory management while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will work closely with the DC Manager, develop staff, oversee receiving, despatch, returns and cycle counts, and uphold WHS standards in a safe, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience in a warehouse environment.
• Proven experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

In this key role, you ll be a driving force in our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods, optimising processes, and leading a high-performing team.

You’ll work closely with the DC Manager to achieve operational targets, while also taking ownership of key areas like inventory control, process improvement, and team development.

What you ll be doing:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse supervisors, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, despatch, inventory management, and returns.
• Analyse workflows and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Ensure accurate inventory management, including stock control and cycle counting.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, upholding WHS regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

What you ll bring to the table:

• Extensive experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Strong understanding of inventory management and replenishment functions.
• Proven leadership and team management skills in a warehouse environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Forklift license (highly desirable).
