Job summary

NW Professional Services seeks an experienced Warehouse 2IC to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. You will partner with the DC Manager to drive on-time flow of goods, optimise processes and develop staff across shifts.

You will own inventory control, cycle counts and process improvements, while upholding WHS standards and safe working practices. Strong leadership and WMS experience are essential.

• Extensive experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
• Proven leadership and team management in a warehouse environment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of warehouse supervisors.
• Oversee receiving, despatch, inventory management and returns.
• Analyse workflows and implement productivity/ cost-reduction strategies.
• Ensure accurate stock control, cycle counts and WHS compliance.

In this key role, you'll be a driving force in our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods, optimising processes, and leading a high-performing team.

You’ll work closely with the DC Manager to achieve operational targets, while also taking ownership of key areas like inventory control, process improvement, and team development.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse supervisors, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, despatch, inventory management, and returns.
• Analyse workflows and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Ensure accurate inventory management, including stock control and cycle counting.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, upholding WHS regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Extensive experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS).Strong understanding of inventory management and replenishment functions.
• Proven leadership and team management skills in a warehouse environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Forklift license (highly desirable).
