Job summary

F8 RYANS TILING SOLUTIONS PTY LTD is seeking a Wall and Floor Tiler to install ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite and other tiles on walls and floors in residential and commercial projects in Elderslie, NSW.

You will work with carpentry teams to integrate tiling into construction projects, with a mature, long-term commitment. Salary ranges from $79,423 to $90,000 plus super; White Card and Certificate III or equivalent experience required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or 3 years of relevant experience.
• White Card (Construction Induction Card).
• Driver Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine plans to determine layout of tiles and materials required.
• Measure surfaces accurately to guide tile placement.
• Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesives; fill holes and cracks; clean surfaces.
• Apply waterproofing systems to ensure moisture protection and industry standards.
• Spread tile adhesive evenly over prepared surfaces with hand tools.
• Lay tiles with correct alignment and spacing using levels and spacers.
• Cut and shape tiles for edges, corners and around fixtures.
• Grout and seal joints after adhesive sets for a neat finish.
• Clean excess grout and residue to maintain high-quality finish.
• Install specialised flooring such as granolithic or terrazzo when required.
• Lay coloured tiles to form mosaics or decorative patterns as specified.

F8 RYANS TILING SOLUTIONS PTY LTD As Wall and Floor Tiler, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite and other types of tiles on walls, floors and other surfaces according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes. You will work closely with various carpentry teams to ensure seamless integration of tiling projects into overall construction projects.

The role requires a mature and enthusiastic work attitude and should have a commitment for long-term employment. Benefits Salary: $79,423 - $90,000 plus Super depending on experience

• Examine and interpret plans to determine layout of tiles and materials required.
• Measure and mark surfaces accurately to guide tile placement.
• Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing existing tiles, grout, and adhesives; filling holes and cracks; and thoroughly cleaning surfaces.
• Apply waterproofing systems to ensure moisture protection and compliance with industry standards.
• Spread tile adhesive evenly over prepared surfaces using appropriate hand tools.
• Lay tiles in position while ensuring correct alignment and spacing using levels, spacers, and other precision tools.
• Cut and shape tiles using manual and power tile-cutting tools for fitting around edges, corners, and fixed objects like pipes and fittings.
• Grout and seal joints between tiles after adhesive sets, ensuring a uniform and neat appearance.
• Clean excess grout and surface residue to maintain a high-quality finish.
• Install specialised flooring such as granolithic, terrazzo, or cement-based compositions when required.
• Lay coloured tiles to form mosaics or decorative patterns as specified by design plans.

Qualification & experience

• At least Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent OR 3 years of relevant work experience if without formal qualifications
• White Card (Construction Induction Card).
