Job summary

QT Sydney’s dining and bar venues—Gowings Restaurant, Gowings Bar, Parlour and the Events team—are expanding. We’re seeking experienced waitstaff and bartenders who have honed their craft in premium restaurants or high-end bars, delivering polished, personable service from arrival to farewell.

You will take pride in the details, read the room with ease, and ensure every guest feels looked after. NSW RSA certificate (and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, public holidays) is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in premium or fine dining restaurants or high-end bars.
• Confident working independently in fast-paced, high-volume service.
• Current NSW RSA certificate.
• Polished, warm manner with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, refined service across your section from arrival to departure.
• Present menus and take accurate orders with recommendations.
• Handle special occasions and dietary requirements with care.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Keep the bar stocked, organized, and presented to QT standards.
• Serve alcohol responsibly per NSW RSA.

Key Responsibilities

Waitstaff

• Deliver attentive, refined service across your allocated section from arrival to departure
• Present menus, offer knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations, and take accurate orders
• Handle special occasions, dietary requirements, guest requests and feedback with confidence and care
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks quickly and to a consistently high standard
• Offer confident drink recommendations and engage guests across the bar and floor
• Keep the bar stocked, organised and presented to QT standards
• Serve alcohol responsibly in line with NSW RSA requirements

What you bring

• Proven experience in a premium or fine dining restaurant, high-end bar or hotel
• Confidence working independently in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
• Strong food and beverage knowledge, including wine service fundamentals (and cocktail craft for bar roles)
• A current NSW RSA certificate
• A polished, warm manner with excellent attention to detail
• Availability to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
