Job summary

Dementia Australia is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead recruitment, onboarding and ongoing engagement of volunteers from North Ryde, NSW. You will manage records in Better Impact and work with internal teams to support major events such as Memory Walk & Jog.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate or relevant qualification in volunteer coordination.
• At least 2 years of experience with volunteers in a Coordinator role.
• Experience using Better Impact Volunteer Management system.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
• Excellent organisational and time management.
• Strong communication with diverse, geographically distributed groups.
• Availability for weekends and occasional night events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, assessment, onboarding and ongoing engagement of volunteers across Dementia Australia.
• Manage volunteer records, communications and reporting through Better Impact.
• Build positive relationships with volunteers and promote best practice in volunteer management.
• Promote volunteering opportunities through local portals and recruitment platforms.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding for Memory Walk & Jog events.
• Manage volunteer communications, inductions and on-the-day support for events.
• Collaborate with internal teams and Volunteer Coordinators to plan event logistics and requirements.
• Support volunteer recognition, engagement and administration tasks.
