Job summary

Dementia Australia is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator for a full-time, permanent role based in North Ryde, NSW. You will report to the National Volunteering Manager and drive volunteer recruitment, onboarding and engagement across the organisation.

Key duties include managing records in Better Impact, promoting volunteering opportunities and supporting major events like Memory Walk & Jog, while collaborating with internal teams to deliver seamless volunteer services.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Certificate or tertiary qualification in volunteer coordination or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating volunteers.
• Experience with Better Impact Volunteer Management system including rostering, communications and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and ongoing engagement of volunteers.
• Manage volunteer records, communications and reporting in Better Impact.
• Build relationships with volunteers and promote best practice in volunteer management.
• Promote volunteering opportunities through local portals and platforms.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding for Memory Walk & Jog events.
• Oversee volunteer communications, inductions and on‑the‑day support for events.
