Job summary

Boronia Heights Primary School in Melbourne's eastern suburbs seeks a skilled Visual Arts teacher to deliver engaging programs that integrate literacy and numeracy. You will plan, teach and assess high quality lessons, use data to inform practice and work with families to support student wellbeing and engagement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Visual Arts curriculum with literacy/numeracy integration
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning using data
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and staff
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students
• Contribute to development and evaluation of curriculum areas
• Undertake other classroom duties as directed by the Principal
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings
• Supervise and mentor student teachers
