Job summary

The Victorian Department of Education is seeking visiting teachers to support Disability Inclusion and provide leadership and capability building for teachers and schools in inclusive curriculum and pedagogy. You will assist with education programs, modifications and supports for students with disabilities across pre-school to VCE, working within a collaborative regional team.

You will contribute to planning and delivering professional learning for staff, and build strong partnerships with

Qualifications

• Substantial experience teaching students with additional learning or wellbeing needs.
• Demonstrated capacity to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary professional team.
• Ability to design, deliver or broker professional learning on relevant topics such as disabilities and allied areas.
• Excellent teaching and learning skills to promote access and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Support Whole School Initiatives: provide specialist advice on curriculum planning, development, delivery and evaluation for inclusive access.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote coordinated inclusion initiatives within the region.
• Use innovative technologies to improve access and inclusion in curriculum delivery.
• Enhance classroom practices by promoting effective teaching/learning strategies and sustaining change.
• Assist classroom teachers to identify student needs and implement necessary adjustments.
