Job summary
Australian Vintage is hiring Vintage Cellar Hands for the 2027 vintage at Buronga Hill Winery, near Mildura. You will join our cellar and winemaking teams to safely process wine and support production during a busy vintage season.
Previous winery experience is valued but not essential. Successful applicants will be safety‑minded, reliable, and capable of working a rotating day/evening roster with weekend shifts. Competitive casual rates apply.
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to safety and following instructions.
- Reliability and willingness to contribute through full vintage period.
- Practical approach with ability to use manual/physical equipment.
- Good communication skills for teamwork and safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Past vintage, cellar, winery or production experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Forklift licence is highly regarded if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Safely complete cellar operations and follow instructions.
- Transfer wine between tanks and vessels.
- Assist with filtration operations.
- Collect samples from wine tanks and barrels.
- Make additions and gas adjustments to tanks.
- Prepare wines to meet production requirements.
- Monitor wine quality and record production data.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in cellar areas.
