Job summary

The Department of Justice is seeking a Victim Engagement Support Officer in Melbourne to help teams support victims and ensure agencies uphold their rights. You will assist the Victims of Crime Commissioner’s office to keep work on track and deliver clear communications, records, and materials for complaints, investigations and consultations.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, operations or client support in a service setting.
• Skills in case management and electronic document systems.
• Ability to work independently and with others; adapt to changing needs and solve problems.
• Clear communication and listening skills for difficult conversations and diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clear letters, reports, briefings and records for complaints, investigations and consultation.
• Organise meetings, prepare materials and follow up actions across teams.
• Research issues and gather relevant information to progress work.
• Provide respectful support that recognises victims' needs, experiences and trauma.
