Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria is seeking a Victim Engagement Support Officer to help teams support victims and ensure agencies uphold rights. This fixed-term, full-time role is until 30 June 2028 with a salary of $100,894–$114,476 per year plus super.

You will prepare clear letters, reports and records for complaints, investigations and consultation; organise meetings; research issues; and provide respectful, trauma‑informed support to victims from diverse backgrounds,

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, operations or client support in a service setting.
• Skills in case management and electronic document systems.
• Ability to work independently and with others, adapt to changing needs and solve problems.
• Clear communication and listening skills to handle difficult conversations and respect people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsabilités

• Prepare letters, reports, briefing notes and records for complaints, investigations and consultation.
• Organise meetings, prepare materials and follow up actions across teams.
• Research issues and gather information to progress work.
• Provide respectful support recognizing victims' needs, experiences and effects of trauma.
• Improve tools, records and work processes to help teams provide timely services.
