Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is recruiting an Enquiries and Complaints Officer to assist victims of crime in Victoria. You will listen with empathy, explain rights, and guide next steps, while supporting investigations and preparing clear correspondence.

No mandatory qualification is required, but a relevant tertiary qualification strengthens your application. You’ll join a team dedicated to protecting rights and improving services for victims.

Qualifications

• Experience providing helpful service and handling complaints or supporting investigations.
• Skills in case management systems and electronic document systems to keep accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good listening and judgement.

Responsibilities

• Help victims of crime raise concerns and find support.
• Support investigations into possible breaches of the Victims' Charter.
• Prepare investigation plans, reports and letters, and keep case records up to date.
• Work with colleagues and public sector agencies to resolve concerns and improve services.
