Job summary

Catalyste Australia is seeking an experienced Specification Manager to drive growth across Victoria, building strong relationships with architects and interior designers and guiding projects from concept to delivery.

You will provide product knowledge, technical support and project guidance to help secure specifications and convert them into orders, while taking ownership of the Victorian market, identifying opportunities, and expanding the professional network.

Qualifications

• Experience in architectural specification, business development or sales within building products or related industries.
• Experience working with architects, designers, joiners, builders and other project stakeholders.
• Confidence presenting products and technical information to design professionals.
• An understanding of how projects progress from design and specification through to procurement and delivery.
• Experience managing a sales territory, pipeline and business development activity.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
• Proven success achieving sales targets and commercial objectives.
• A current driver's licence, with secure storage at home for product samples and sales collateral.

We're looking for an experienced Specification Manager to help establish and grow our presence across Victoria.

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing relationships across the architecture and design community, creating opportunities to have our products considered on projects across a broad range of sectors.

You'll work closely with architects, interior designers and other design professionals, providing product knowledge, technical support and project guidance to help secure specifications. As projects progress, you'll continue to work with builders, contractors, joiners and procurement stakeholders to help ensure specifications are successfully converted into orders.

You'll take ownership of the Victorian market, identifying new opportunities, building a strong pipeline and expanding our network of industry contacts. You'll represent the business within the industry, grow key accounts and help drive long-term project opportunities.

Success in this role comes from understanding how projects move from concept through to delivery, while balancing relationship-building, specification activity and commercial outcomes. Whether your background is in architectural specification, architectural sales, interior design sales or another premium building products category, you'll be comfortable influencing a broad range of stakeholders and turning project opportunities into business outcomes.
