Job summary

Animal Referral Hospital in Sydney offers a Veterinary Nursing Internship (Junior/Trainee) at ARH Homebush, a 12-month full-time fixed-term contract designed to train nurses in emergency and referral care. You’ll spend roughly 75% of the year in Emergency & Critical Care, with 25% in specialty rotations.

A dedicated mentor guides you, using a structured learning plan and regular progress reviews, and there is potential to transition to a permanent role on completion.

Qualifications

• Qualified Veterinary Nurse with general practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Spend 75% of the year in Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) building confidence with emergency presentations and hospitalised patients.
• Remaining 25% rotating through specialty departments such as Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology and Cardiology.
• You’ll have a dedicated mentor, a structured learning plan with competency sign-offs, and weekly specialist-led education.
