Sydney NSW
Full-time 12-month Fixed-Term Contract | 75% Emergency & Critical Care + 25% Specialty Rotations
Opportunity to transition into a permanent position
Take the next step into emergency and referral nursing.
Our Nursing Internship is designed for qualified Veterinary Nurses with general practice experience who are ready to build their skills in a busy emergency and specialist referral hospital. You'll spend approximately 75% of the year in our Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) service, building confidence with emergency presentations, hospitalised patients and increasingly complex cases. The remaining 25% is spent rotating through specialty departments, which may include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology and Cardiology.
You don't need to arrive knowing everything. That's the purpose of the internship!
As your skills develop, you'll gradually take greater ownership of patient care.
Roster: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week on a rotating roster including days, nights, weekends and public holidays. Specialty rotations run on weekday day shifts. Majority of the internship will be out of ARH Homebush, with occasional shifts at ARH Greater Western Sydney if required.
