Job summary

Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) Sydney is offering a Veterinary Nursing Internship (Junior/Trainee) for Emergency & Referral. The role is a 12-month, full-time fixed-term contract with 75% ECC work and 25% rotations through specialty services.

You'll be mentored on a structured learning plan, with weekly education and formal progress reviews, and there is a path to a permanent position on successful completion. Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and 1 year of general practice are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of general practice experience.
• Genuine interest in Emergency & Critical Care and referral nursing.
• Organised, adaptable, and a good communicator in a busy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Spend approximately 75% of the year in Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) with 25% in specialty rotations.
• Rotations may include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology and Cardiology.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in weekly specialist education and case discussions.
