The Cove Hotel in Patterson Lakes is seeking a Venue Supervisor to lead the shift, supervise the team, and ensure safe, efficient operations with a focus on excellent guest experiences.

You will work closely with the Venue Manager to coach staff, manage operational checks, and support revenue and cost controls, including nights and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality or gaming.
• Understanding of gaming regulations, licensing, and legal obligations.
• Hands-on leader who motivates teams to deliver exceptional service.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Current Victorian RSA, RSG, Gaming Employee Licence, Do Food Safely Certificate, TAB Compliance, and full Australian working rights.

• Oversee day-to-day venue operations, including food and beverage service, bookings, venue presentation, stock, opening and closing procedures and operational checklists.
• Support the Venue Manager and Manager on Duty with revenue, labour and cost control, while ensuring a safe, efficient and well-run venue.
• Ensure all company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements across food and beverage, gaming, wagering, responsible gambling and cash handling are consistently followed.
• Coach and develop team members on shift, provide feedback and address customer or operational issues promptly and professionally.

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Venue Supervisor to join the team at The Covein Patterson Lakes.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising the venue during service, supporting the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring the venue operates safely, efficiently and in line with all regulatory and company requirements.

Working closely with the Venue Manager, you will lead by example on shift, support and coach team members, maintain high service standards and help drive the venue's operational and financial performance.

The Cove Hotel is a premier dining and entertainment venue offering one of the most spectacular water views right on the marina in Patterson Lakes.

The bistro offers contemporary casual dining in a relaxed setting; catering to both the traditional indoor style seating, by the fireplace and an enclosed deck area capturing the view of the marina

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within hospitality, gaming, wagering or a similar venue environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of gaming regulations, licensing requirements, and legal obligations.
• A confident and hands-on leader who leads by example and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work across a hospitality roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Current Victorian RSA
