Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera, QLD to service and repair a range of military vehicles, from 4WDs to tracked and armoured units. You will perform maintenance, inspections and component replacements to ensure vehicle readiness.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology, current Australian Class C license, and can obtain Baseline Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting, repairing and maintaining light, medium and heavy vehicles.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance, inspections and classifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspections and classifications.
• Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.
• Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts.
• Carry out minor body and trim repairs.
• Test and repair electrical systems, including lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection.
• Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates.

Great opportunities for Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our Defence Maintenance Contract team at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera, QLD.

As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles and equipment, from 4WDs and trucks through to tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and tanks.

About The Role

About You

• Hold a Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrate experience inspecting, repairing and maintaining light, medium and heavy vehicles.
• Hold a current Australian Class C driver's licence.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
