Job summary

SMART is looking for an experienced Vehicle Estimator to join the team in Hoppers Crossing. This permanent, full-time role offers a supportive team and attractive remuneration for the right experience.

You will assess vehicle damage, prepare detailed estimates, liaise with insurers and customers, source parts, and use leading estimating software to generate quotes. The workshop is modern, and opportunities for training and career progression are available.

Qualifications

• Proven estimator experience in automotive/collision repair.
• Strong knowledge of estimating software (Audatex / PartsPoint).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
• Reliable, punctual and a solid team player.

Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and prepare detailed repair estimates.
• Liaise with insurers, customers and workshop to manage flow from quote to completion.
• Source parts and ensure estimates meet quality, time and cost standards.
• Use estimating software to generate quotes in line with insurer and company guidelines.
• Maintain strong communication across the repair process to keep jobs on track.
• Adhere to WHS policies and procedures.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Vehicle Estimator to join the team in Hoppers Crossing.

Permanent position with a supportive team. Monday to Friday. 45 hours per week. Attractive remuneration on offer for the right experience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assessing vehicle damage and preparing accurate, detailed repair estimates
• Liaising with insurers, customers, and the workshop team to manage job flow from quote to completion
• Sourcing parts and ensuring estimates align with quality, time, and cost standards
• Using estimating software to generate quotes in line with insurer and company guidelines
• Maintaining strong communication across the repair process to keep jobs on track
• Adhering to all WHS policies and procedures

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the automotive or collision repair industry
• Strong knowledge of estimating software (e.g. Audatex, PartsPoint or similar)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and a solid team player
