SMART is hiring an experienced Estimator at its Hoppers Crossing, VIC site. The role involves assessing vehicle damage, generating detailed repair estimates, and coordinating with insurers, customers, and the workshop team from quote to completion.

Ideal candidates have proven estimator experience in automotive or collision repair, strong knowledge of Audatex/PartsPoint, and excellent communication. The role offers full-time permanency, ongoing training, and career progression within a national

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator within automotive/collision repair
• Strong knowledge of estimating software Audatex, PartsPoint or similar
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail with strong organisational abilities
• Reliable, punctual and a solid team player
• Full Australian work rights (driver's licence preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and prepare accurate repair estimates
• Liaise with insurers, customers, and workshop team from quote to completion
• Source parts and ensure estimates meet quality, time and cost standards
• Use estimating software to generate quotes per insurer and company guidelines
• Maintain strong communication across the repair process to keep jobs on track
• Adhere to WHS policies and procedures

What You'll Be Doing

• Assessing vehicle damage and preparing accurate, detailed repair estimates
• Liaising with insurers, customers, and the workshop team to manage job flow from quote to completion
• Sourcing parts and ensuring estimates align with quality, time, and cost standards
• Using estimating software to generate quotes in line with insurer and company guidelines
• Maintaining strong communication across the repair process to keep jobs on track
• Adhering to all WHS policies and procedures

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the automotive or collision repair industry
• Strong knowledge of estimating software (e.g. Audatex, PartsPoint or similar)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and a solid team player
• Full Australian work rights required (driver's licence preferred but not essential)
