A vehicle ownership innovator is seeking a Yard Person / Vehicle Coordinator to manage vehicle availability and condition at their South Melbourne Hub. Responsibilities

• Ensure all vehicles are cleaned and full of fuel/charge.
• Control vehicles at the depot and maintain a tidy carpark.
• Complete inspection photos for vehicles.
• Take inspection photos for inbound/outbound vehicles.
• Inspect accident-repaired vehicles.
• Organise depot at end of day and secure vehicles.
• Assist with vehicle pickups for service or repairs.
• Ensure timely servicing and completed works.
• Receive and pre‑install telematics devices on new vehicles.
• Assist in de-fleeting prep for sale.

About the Role

The Yard Person / Vehicle Coordinator position plays an important part in our set up. This role, based out of our South Melbourne Hub, will ensure the business has vehicles readily available to our customers via various product lines. The role will be responsible for ensuring our fleet is cleaned, serviced, and damage assessed prior to handing over the keys.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all vehicles are cleaned, full of fuel/charge
• Controlling cars that are onsite at the depot, ensuring depot carpark is neat and tidy
• Movement of vehicles to and from specified locations as required (Service, Warranty, etc)
• Completion of inspection photos for vehicles (inbound, outbound)
• Inspecting and reviewing accident‑repaired vehicles
• Organisation of depot at the end of each day – ensuring vehicles are parked appropriately and secured
• Assisting stakeholders with vehicle pickups – Service, Accident repairs
• Ensuring all vehicles are serviced on time and have the necessary works completed
• Receiving and preparing new vehicles (installation of telematics devices)
• Assisting in vehicle preparation for de‑fleet (sale preparation)

What You’ll Bring

• Full unrestricted Australian Driver’s License (must have)
• Comfortable commuting and working out of our South Melbourne Hub
• Intermediate level computer skills
• Strong can‑do attitude with demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to ensure all compliance requirements are met
• The ability to go above & beyond in your role to assist the team and for customer satisfaction
• Previous customer service experience (desirable)
• Mechanical aptitude or a reasonable understanding of motor vehicles (desirable)
