Job summary

Cannon Trailers in Crows Nest QLD is seeking an experienced Vehicle Body Builder to join its manufacturing department. You will construct and repair metal trailers and vehicle bodies to exact specifications using hand and power tools.

Key tasks include fabricating sections from sheet metal, pipes, wood, fiberglass and other materials; welding, screwing, riveting and bolting components; and installing door handles, locks, hinges, armrests and floor coverings.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Body Builder.
• Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations Bus, Truck and Trailer or related.
• OH&S awareness.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair metal trailers and vehicle bodies according to specifications, using hand tools, and power tools to meet service delivery requirements and safety standards.
• Fabricate section and components from sheet metals, pipes, wood, fiberglass and other materials
• Welding, screwing, riveting and bolting components together to form finished products
• Installing components and trim such as door handles, locks, hinges armrests, floor coverings and linings
• Carrying out alterations to chassis in accordance with engineering specifications

Cannon Trailers, manufacturers of custom-made livestock truck trailers is currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Body Builder to join their manufacturing department in Crows Nest QLD. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Construct and repair metal trailers and vehicle bodies according to specifications, using hand tools, and power tools to meet service delivery requirements and safety standards.
• Fabricate section and components from sheet metals, pipes, wood, fiberglass and other materials
• Welding, screwing, riveting and bolting components together to form finished products
• Installing components and trim such as door handles, locks, hinges armrests, floor coverings and linings
• Carrying out alterations to chassis in accordance with engineering specifications

Salary range is $75,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience. Full-time Position available.
